World Cup 2010 - South Africa

World Cup 2010 - South AfricaNow that the UEFA European Championships are over, we can concentrate on qualification for the World Cup. Whilst team USA have a relatively easy path to begin with, the likes of Barbados and Guatemala, the second round should be a bit harder, with Trinidad and Tobago and good old Mexico waiting to pounce. Over in Europe, it’s a different game altogether. England are top of their group, but face challenging games against the Ukraine, and Croatia (the team who put England out of the UEFA 2006 finals). Scotland and Ireland have a couple of tough games as they are grouped with Holland and Italy respectively, and Wales will no doubt just fail to qualify, as they always seem to do as they are up against ze Germans and a tough looking Russia.

We’ll keep on reporting as the qualification rounds carry on over the next year. We’ll update you on Mexico, Brazil and Argentina in the next update!
