New Fall & Winter Goalkeeper Academies

Chris Sharpe - Colorado Rapids Goalkeeper and Core Soccer CoachWe’re proud to present two new GK academy programs for the Fall and Winter - both with Colorado Rapids Goalkeeper Chris “Sharpie” Sharp. The Fall academy will be small groups (Max 8 Goalkeepers per group), training on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We’ll have 2 coaches, with an emphasis on individual attention. Winter Goalkeeper Academy Details - Two Camps - 14% discount if you register for both ball and fitness camps both held Indoor at the Edge Sports Center, Fort Collins

Camp 1: 1.5 Hour sessions per week: Goalkeeper related ball work, split into age appropriate and ability level groups.
Camp 2: All New 1 hour a week Goalkeeper related fitness and nutrition. All new parachutes, weight sleds, keeper med balls and much more

Fall Shooting Camp

We’re really excited to be offering a well needed camp that wil focus on a players technical and mechanical concepts of shooting. Correct technique and power when shooting is very important and can be the difference for the player and a teams success. This Fall we’ll be offering a detailed explosive shooting camp that will cover many areas that will help a player to be more consistent, confident and successful in front of the goal. For 8 weeks, players will develop a better feel and understanding of placement, angles and shot selection depending on what shooting opportunity arises.

What: Shooting Camp, 8 Weeks, Sundays
When: Sept 7 / 14 / 21 / 28 - Oct 5 / 12 / 19 / 26
One Hour Sessions:
U5-U9: 3:00pm - 4:00pm
U10-U13 - 4:00pm - 5:00pm
U14-U18 - 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Location: Landings Park, Fort Collins
Cost: $120 per player (all session) or $15 per day

Fall Technical Skills & Shooting Academy

August 28, 2008

This is a recreational academy that is designed to tune and develop the players ability to progress to the next level of play. This academy will work on the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and receiving, turns, skill moves and shooting; at an intense level to get the best out of each player. This academy will be eligible for U5/U6, U7/U8, U9/U10 players with a maximum of 10 players per group. The academy will last for eight weeks -

    September 5th - October 24th

- One session per week for an hour.

Summer Soccer Program Registrations Now Open

core-rec-camp.jpgThe 2008 Core Academy camps are designed for players of all levels, from the beginning soccer players to the competitive players. These camps are developed to take each player to the next level. The camp will offer players a fun and competitive atmosphere to learn about technical and tactical soccer concepts. Players will be exposed to a variety of skill training, fitness, tactical appreciation and fun games. Most importantly, players will learn the aspect of how much fun the game of soccer can be. At the end of each camp, all players will receive a written evaluation by one of our excellent coaching staff. The camps do sell out so register now to guarantee your spot!

New Spring 2008 Core Academy Program

We are introducing a new U5-U10 Academy this Spring April 4-May 9 2008. We have redeveloped our curriculum and will also be implementing a level based progression for your child to move up through our Academy levels. This is academy is designed to tune and develop the player’s ability to progress to the next level of play.

This academy will work on the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and receiving, turns, and skill moves; at an intense level to get the best out of each player. The tactical areas that will be covered in this academy are 1 vs.1 attacking, attacking with numbers, overlap runs, defending with the proper techniques in tackling, and covering the fundamentals of shooting and shot selection.

This Academy will have a specific curriculum for each age group, which has been designed for the needs, abilities, and specific ages of the players. Spring Summer Program April 4-May 2008 (PDF)

2007 Core Soccer Results

From local Fort Collins league play, to the Vail regional tournament and onto the national Kick It 3v3 tournament in Orlando, Florida, Core Academy teams in all age groups played hard, competed and had a ton fun!
