Greeley Winter Speed & Agility Soccer Camp

We’ve had a tremendous response to our Ft Collins Winter Speed & Agility camps over the past few years. We’ve now expanded the program to bring players together in Greeley for an 8 week program to stay sharp and ready for the Spring 09 season. Here’s a sample of the Sunday programs based at the Greeley West High School - Dec 7 thru Feb 8th:

Winter Speed & Agility Camp Working on fitness, agility, skills, shooting, control, first touch, small games. Every fourth week will be an over look from the past three weeks. This is a progressive camp.


Week 1: Receiving the ball (inside foot, laces, thigh, chest) basic passing, first touch to open space, scissor/double scissor/inside drag over scissor, Sharp Ladder foot work drills.
Week 2: Receiving the ball for quick passing & moving drills, receiving ball to open space for quick shooting using correct techniques, inside outside fake, inside/inside fake, inside drag
over fake.
Week 3: Correct techniques of defending, 1v1 receiving offense to defense, small area under pressure control, fast dribbling and turns, touch shooting, intense fitness circuit training, core body workouts, ply metric training.
Week 4: Small sided passing and moving drills & shooting games, to incorporate week 1-3 topics. Pressure attack and defensive cover for 1v1, 2v2, 3v3. Evaluation of skill progress
Week 5: Defending high pressure attack, 2v2 / 3v3 small game, give and go’s, cover pressure defending, circuit training, ladder agility, vertical & lateral explosion training
Week 6: Checking to and from the ball, sharp turning in front of goal, holding off players, finishing arial balls, circuit training, core body workout, plyometric training
Week 7: Anticipation training to the ball and off the ball, anticipating the correct runs in front of goal for the finish, reading the run or the pass as a defender, reading the body language of player movement, body workouts, ladder and vertical training.
Week 8: Concluding week that over looks weeks 1-7 topics, small games, shooting competition, skill competition.

Core Soccer Winter Speed and Agility 2008-09

Core Soccer at the FCISC Arena, Fort Collins

It’s getting cold outside and the goose is getting fat. We have a new winter speed and agility program that will keep your legs from turning cold-turkey - and it’s indoors at the FCISC - Fort Collins Indoor Soccer Club (OD’s) so you’ll stay warm as you train. This program was sold out last year - with a large waiting list, so register today and make sure you stay fresh for the Spring 2009 season!

New Fall & Winter Goalkeeper Academies

Chris Sharpe - Colorado Rapids Goalkeeper and Core Soccer CoachWe’re proud to present two new GK academy programs for the Fall and Winter - both with Colorado Rapids Goalkeeper Chris “Sharpie” Sharp. The Fall academy will be small groups (Max 8 Goalkeepers per group), training on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. We’ll have 2 coaches, with an emphasis on individual attention. 2 New Fall Camps: Registration Open

We have a new Shooting Camp and a Technical Skills & Shooting Academy program for the Fall. Both of these programs begin in early September and have limited availability. For the Shooting camp, we’ll be offering a detailed explosive shooting camp that will cover many areas that will help a player to be more consistent, confident and successful in front of the goal. The Technical Skills & Shooting Academy is a recreational academy that is designed to tune and develop the players ability to progress to the next level of play. This academy will work on the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and receiving, turns, skill moves and shooting; at an intense level to get the best out of each player.

Fall Shooting Camp

We’re really excited to be offering a well needed camp that wil focus on a players technical and mechanical concepts of shooting. Correct technique and power when shooting is very important and can be the difference for the player and a teams success. This Fall we’ll be offering a detailed explosive shooting camp that will cover many areas that will help a player to be more consistent, confident and successful in front of the goal. For 8 weeks, players will develop a better feel and understanding of placement, angles and shot selection depending on what shooting opportunity arises.

What: Shooting Camp, 8 Weeks, Sundays
When: Sept 7 / 14 / 21 / 28 - Oct 5 / 12 / 19 / 26
One Hour Sessions:
U5-U9: 3:00pm - 4:00pm
U10-U13 - 4:00pm - 5:00pm
U14-U18 - 5:00pm - 6:00pm
Location: Landings Park, Fort Collins
Cost: $120 per player (all session) or $15 per day

Fall Technical Skills & Shooting Academy

This is a recreational academy that is designed to tune and develop the players ability to progress to the next level of play. This academy will work on the fundamentals of dribbling, passing and receiving, turns, skill moves and shooting; at an intense level to get the best out of each player. This academy will be eligible for U5/U6, U7/U8, U9/U10 players with a maximum of 10 players per group. The academy will last for eight weeks -

    September 5th - October 24th

- One session per week for an hour.

Core Summer Shooting Camp

NEW this Summer is our 2008 Summer Shooting Camp (PDF). This will run for 6 weeks beginning July 11th – August 15th on Friday mornings. Also new this summer we are offering our Small Group Training (PDF) for those that would like to participate in some ongoing, small group sessions. You can either register individually for this or come with a group already formed. We will either design the training ourselves or work with a topic that you would like covered.
