Core Performance’s Holiday Boot Camp is a high intensity 6-week program during early winter off-season meant to combat the sedentary Holiday Season. The program focuses on maintaining and continuing the development of the necessary physical attributes expected of a competitive youth soccer player. The curriculum will focus on speed and agility/strength and conditioning exercises of the full body’s musculature. This program’s progression is 3 weeks on, with rest during the Thanksgiving break, followed by another 3 weeks on; to maximize performance gains, as backed by current Exercise Physiology literature, participating in both programs is advised. This curriculum is intended to help maintain the athlete’s current fitness level during the off-season, while also increasing performance with regard to gains in strength, speed and quickness, as well as aerobic capacity; using exercises explicitly tailored to benefit the soccer player. This program should be used as a supplement to the other Core Elite Programs for both Outfield players as well as Goal Keepers to mold the most well rounded athlete possible.
